KC Here We Come!

We made a trip to Kansas City last weekend to finish off Carlos' birthday celebration! Our first stop was to see one of my dearest friends from college and bridesmaid, Abbey and her little cuties, Noah and Blaire.  Lucy had a blast playing with them and it was soooo good to see Abbey- it had been way to long! Next, we made it to one of Carlos' best friends from college, Kiley's house. Kiley and his wife, Alissa, live in such an adorable neighborhood.  It was lineD with gorgeous maple trees, loved it. We had such a good time, visiting, eating, watching the OU/TX game, walking around, relaxing, shopping, eating, eating, and more eating.  Brookside and all the surrounding areas have so many neat local restaurants and shopping.  We had such a great time! Thanks so much for having us up Kiley and Alissa!

Lucy woke up so excited to go to Kansas "to see friends". Once we got loaded in the car, she said, "I'll drive us to Kansas".

Abbey's house.  Noah, Blaire and Lucy all being silly.  They made friends super fast!

The sweet girls reading books together.

Abbey's going to hate me for posting this pic, but sorry girl- had to. She said she had been running before we got there. Wish I looked like this after I worked out. Can't wait to see you at homecoming next weekend!

At Kiley and Alissa's! Alissa took us to her garden and Lucy loved it!

Alissa even let Lucy pull out a carrot and some snap peas!

Later that evening, we headed out for dinner and fun night out! We went to First Friday's in downtown KC and had a great time listening to music, going to several art exhibits and eating great food!

There was the cutest local sno cone stand and you know Lucy and I couldn't pass that up.  All the sno cones were made with natural fruit juices with the neatest combinations.  Lucy and I got a lemon prickly pear and a strawberry rhubarb sno cone.  YUM.

We went to one art exhibit and these girls were dancing.  Lucy was in awe the entire time.

Then down the street we stumbled upon some people break dancing.  It was awesome! Several kids jumped in at the end and Lucy wanted to go out there so bad, but couldn't quite get brave enough.

She kept inching closer and closer, ha!

The next morning was game time! OU vs. TX, Lucy was all ready to cheer for her Sooners (sorry Papa)!

The weather was gorgeous so we spent most the afternoon (pre-game) outside.

 LOVE.

 Me and my little Sooner.

She loved all the beautiful leaves!

Playing baseball with Carlos and Kiley.

Such a fun weekend! Happy, Happy Birthday honey!
