Memorial Weekend

Carlos, Lucy and I headed to Dumas, TX to stay with my Aunt Marsha and Uncle Bill for Memorial Weekend and had the best time! We went out to dinner on Friday night and on Saturday cooked out and hung out with lots of family. We ate like Kings while we were there...amazing food. Thank you Aunt Marsha and Uncle Bill for going out of your way to make our visit so much fun. My Grandpa, Aunt Debbie and cousin Connie and her kids all came to visit and it was so nice to catch up with everyone. Thanks for such a great visit, love you all!

On the way home we stopped in Woodward, OK to see Carlos parents. We got to visit and eat a yummy dinner. On the way back we decided it was time to turn Lucy's car seat around and she loved it! I think she felt like such a big girl and loved being able to see us in the front seat. I was so proud of my sweet girl this weekend. She was so happy and just did so good the whole trip. Thank you to everyone for having us at your homes this weekend. We all had such a good time!

Our Weekend and Lucy's First Boo-Boo

We had another wonderful weekend with our sweet girl. It ended up being a pretty quite weekend, which was wonderful. We went for a walk and played at the neighborhood park, we went out to lunch and then all went grocery shopping. And, we played, read, played, cooked, played, slept, and played. Ha! Just perfect.

Daddy napping with his baby girl. Lucy loves to sleep on your chest now. Every night after she finishes her bottle, she immediately sits up and turns for me to rock her on my chest. I melt every time.

Making Pizza With Lucy's Cousins

Jackson and Kaylee stayed the night with us on Saturday night and we all had such a good time! Lucy adores her cousins and has so much fun playing and just watching them. My sister brought Lucy a ton of Little People which ended up all over the floor and Lucy loved them. We ended up making a pizza for dinner and Jack and Kaylee had fun "decorating" it. Lucy enjoyed her animal cookie and had fun watching the two of them. We got up the next morning and made pancakes and sausage- their favorite and apparently Lucy loves pancakes too. I think she pretty much loves all food, ha! We had such a fun weekend with all of our favorite little buddies.

Shoes...

I picked LuLu up from baby school today and saw that she had destroyed her new shoes. Since she has started playing outside twice a day at baby school, we have gone through multiple pairs of shoes. It just makes me laugh because this is SO Lucy's personality. I say it over and over, but she is one determined baby girl. If she wants something- watch out because she is a pretty strong willed little thing. Seeing her shoes all scuffed up just made me laugh, because I can just picture her zooming along and playing.

What?!? She's getting so good at pulling up and down and even better at pulling all her books off her shelves. This has turned into her FAVORITE game. She absolutely loves her books now and I couldn't be happier. She's even starting to crawl in our laps so we'll read to her. Love it.

Butterfly Class, Blanket and Standing Up!

Last Wednesday Lucy was moved up to the Butterfly class at baby school. She now has story time twice a day, goes out to play twice a day, only has one afternoon nap (yikes) on a baby mat and eating real food (not baby food) in the fellowship hall. They eat family style where they put all the babies at a round table in their highchairs, so now she gets to learn more about table manners and can socialize with her friends, haha! I was excited for her to get to do all these new activities, but nervous about the food and the naps. But, she did so well and was apparently ready to move up! She loves all the food and is getting used to her naps. Grammie had to make her a special blanket and pillow for baby school which all her teachers loved. It is pretty darn cute, thanks mom. Lucy's still having to take a little cat nap in the mornings, but is slowly getting used to it. She's been pulling up on her knees for a few weeks now, but after one day in her big girl class she fully stood up. Good job Lulu!

Splish Splash!

Bathtub pictures are my absolute favorites, so here are a few new ones of Lucy. She absolutely LOVES her baths and has become quite the splasher. I end up soaked, but she gets so tickled that I can't tell her no. We got the cutest new "big girl" towels for her this past weekend since her baby towels just weren't big enough anymore. One towel is a pink butterfly and the other is a yellow ducky. I'm thinking we are going to have to go back and get the froggy too, they are just too cute!

Mom's Jewelry

So...I told everyone on my Sunday post that I'd write more about what my sister and I did for mom for Mother's Day. She has been making jewelry for herself, me, Cris and several ladies at work for quite a while and is really good at it! She's always getting asked about her jewelry, so we thought it would be fun to make cards for her to hand out when someone asks about her jewelry and start her a blog so she can start selling it for fun. Mother's Day Weekend

We had such an amazing Mother's Day weekend! We went to Lawton on Saturday to visit Carlos' Nanny (Lucy). Lucy was such a good girl and loved playing and dancing with all of Nanny's singing stuffed animals, haha. Sunday morning, I woke up to six bouquets of tulips (my favorite) scattered throughout the house from Carlos and such a sweet card, I of course cried. Lucy got me the prettiest pair of pearl earrings (her birthstone), which I loved. We all got ready and headed to meet everyone for brunch at mom's favorite, Mimi's Cafe. We had such a yummy brunch and Lucy was eating everything in site. She was her Papa's best friend since he had some yummy toast! Mom really seemed to love her present, which I am thrilled about and will post about later this week. We all had such a great weekend and I am so grateful to have our family!

LuLu- I truly had such an unbelievable 1st Mother's Day! I remember how long I dreamed of becoming a Mommy and wondered what it would really be like. You have become my entire world sweet baby. I never would have believed life could be as amazing as it is right now. I live and breath for you. I truly feel like my world is complete now that you are in it. You are such a sweet, funny, loving, curious and sassy little thing and I love it! Thank you for such a wonderful 1st Mother's Day Lulu, I love you.
