Mini Me

The last time Lucy wore her mini pocket gray v-neck t-shirt with her skinny jeans and silver sandals, I realized I had the same outfit.  So...we decided to be silly and match! Lucy thought it was so funny and was giggling so hard!  Here's my little mini me.

Zoo Friends

Lucy and I went to the zoo with one of my newest close friends, Allison.  Allison and I have known each other for a few years; however, between working and having the kiddos we've just never really spent a ton of alone time together until recently.  We are now dating, haha.  We could both kick ourselves for not getting to know each other better sooner.  I adore her and can already tell we are going to be great friends.  

Lucy and Trip had the best time at the zoo and the weather was gorgeous.  Sweet little William was such a trooper and slept most of the trip. We're all going to meet up for the OU game next weekend as well, so much fun!

 This one cracks me up. They both wanted me to pick them up so they could see over the ledge, but try holding two almost 30 lb. toddlers! Not easy and obviously not very comfortable for them either...Trip was not a happy camper since I was probably cutting off his circulation, ha!

Trip was in heaven with all of these goats! He was feeding and hugging on all of them!

Lucy on the other hand said, "Mommy, don't let them get me!". She watched Trip and the other kids from a safe distance.

 Is this not the cutest? Telling you guys, just about every goat in there got a hug- it was precious.

 We didn't even pull out of the zoo before Lucy crashed out.

Dinner Dates

Lucy and I went over to Stephanie and Owen's house to have dinner and play with them and our friends Beth and Waylon. We had a great time and the food was delicious!  Thanks for having us over Steph!

Cupcake Date

Me, mom and Cris all went out to eat and to see The Help (which was such an amazing movie) this past weekend.  So, Carlos and Lucy got to have a little date night. I met up with them for just a bit after work before I headed out. Look at how much these two love each other?

Kinsey's Birthday Ball

Lucy and I attended Kinsey's 5th Birthday Ball on Saturday.  Kinsey is one of my closest friend's (Angie) little girls and oh my goodness can Angie throw a party.  Lucy and I have been to some pretty amazing birthday parties, but this one takes the cake.  It was all Cinderella themed, but with a unique Fall/pumpkin twist which was stunning.  The party was in Heritage Hills and Cinderella was actually at the party and her horse drawn carriage was there too!  Lucy was absolutely smitten with Cinderella.  She was gazing at her from a distance for quite a while since she was too nervous to really go up to her.  But  goodness when it was time for Cinderella to leave, Lucy screamed out so loud, "Bye, Bye Miss Cinderella"! It was absolutely precious.  She loved taking a ride on her horse drawn carriage as well.  We had the best time and it was an AMAZING party!  Happy 5th Birthday Kinsey girl!

 All the little girls went absolutely CRAZY when they saw the horse drawn carriage pull up.  Lucy loved watching all the big girls and as soon as they got done jumping up and down screaming, Lucy started.  It was pretty hilarious...a little delayed reaction, ha!

 Lucy had the absolute best time running around with all the girls. She was in heaven.

I think Lucy's favorite part of the entire party where her Cinderella gloves.  She had to wear them to eat her snack when she woke up that afternoon and she's still talking about these things!

A Rockin' Grandparents Day

Lucy's school was having a Granola with Grandparents Day today!  They invited all the grandparents to come visit their grandchildren and eat a granola snack with them and give them a little art project they worked on.  Lucy woke up this morning saying Grammie and Papa party!!!  She was so excited! We put on our newest and prettiest party dress and bow and she was off!  Thank you to her sweet teachers Ms. Bre, Ms. Hannah and Ms. Nancie for pulling off such a fun party! We are all so in love with all three of you!  And, most of all thank you to my parents.  Happy Grandparents Day to two of the best grandparents a little girl could ever ask for!  You mean the world to all of us and we love you more than you'll ever know!

Eating her granola with Grammie and Papa.  I got a message on my phone today from Lucy's teachers saying how excited she was for the party and that she was talking to her Grammie on her play phone at school!

I'm sure she was loving getting to show Grammie and Papa all her fun toys at school.

Grammie and Papa took Lucy for some fun shopping after the party and she got a new electric guitar!  Carlos was so proud that she knew how to hold it and everything.  Seriously, it only took her a minute to get warmed up and she was bobbing her head and rockin' it out!  

 She's been saying, "Are you ready" a lot lately, so we told her to say, "Are you ready to rock!" and she's was saying it over and over.  Cracked us up!

 I know this has got to be Carlos' favorite.  LOVE it.  Lucy is getting so silly and has the best sense of humor just like her Daddy.  

After her rock out session was over and she literally rocked out her piggies, she took a food break just walking around the house in my high heels.  Just an average day around here, ha!

Labor Day Cookout

We had such a nice and relaxing Labor Day weekend.  Played outside a lot and enjoyed the nice weather, played with play-doh, watched the OU game, and had a cookout at the Morales home.  Couldn't have been better.

 Silly girl learned a new trick.  Flatten the play-doh with your head, it works quite nicely.

 I swear we do not force this child to wear sunglasses or hair bows- she insists!  Here she is rocking her Daddy's sunglasses.  She wore them for about 30 minutes, no joke.

 Cookout at the Morales' home.  Lucy and Gio ran around and played football.  The weather, food and company was so perfect!
