Lucy meet Lucy

Carlos' Nanny, Lucy, came from Lawton last night to meet our Lucy for the first time. Carlos is so very close with his Nanny and when it came time to pick a name for our baby girl it only felt right to name her after such a wonderful woman. We were so excited to get some pictures of the two of them together!

One Month Old!

My sweet baby is officially one month old today! This has been the best month of my life and I can barely remember what life was like before my sweet Lulu. She is our entire world and we are so thankful for her. Here are a few things that she has started doing:

• Loves being kissed on
• Now enjoying her baths
• Officially has real tears when she cries now (breaks my heart)
• Mostly does a one-sided smile (the cutest thing ever), but occasionally we get a full smile
• When she starts to wake up she opens one eye first, almost to check things out, then opens both eyes
• Is now sleeping around three hours at night and we are loving it

Great Weekends

We had a great weekend. Mom and dad came over Friday to visit Lucy. They are amazing grandparents to my niece and nephew and I love seeing how crazy they are about our sweet girl. I feel so lucky to have such amazing parents and also to know that Lucy has wonderful grandparents. Love you mom and dad!

Our friends Mayra and Kimberly came from Dallas to meet Lucy for the first time. Carlos grilled some burgers and hot dogs and we just took it easy and hung out Saturday afternoon. Then we met up with our friends, Lisa and Jorge, and went to BJ's for dinner and then all had brunch on Sunday. Carlos and I were a little nervous because it was our first time to take Lucy to a restaurant, but she did so well!

It was a great weekend and Lucy had a great time as well!

Sleepless Nights

Over the past couple of days, Lucy has gotten her days and nights mixed up. Starting around midnight until about 6 a.m. she's sleeping for only around two hours at a time and then is wide awake and ready to go. We know that she will eventually figure out the day from night...hopefully soon. ;)

Reesie really hasn't had much to do with Lucy since we've been home. However, today she finally took some interest. To be honest, I was a little nervous but she was such a sweet girl with her. I love both my girls and think they will be best friends.

I had my follow-up appointment with Dr. Goff (who delivered Lucy) this morning. I had such an awesome experience and feel so lucky to have such an amazing doctor take care of me and my sweet baby. Thank you Dr. Goff!
