One step, two step...

First, in all seriousness Lucy took her first steps yesterday! All three of us were so excited and Lucy was so proud of herself, it was precious! Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures because the only way she's brave enough to do it right now is if Carlos and I sit across from each other (pretty close) and have her walk to each of us.

So tonight we were able to get a video of Lucy in action. But, I was having problems with blogger tonight so while I was in our bedroom Carlos decided he would be Mr. Funny and write the post mocking the way I apparently blog. In his words...

"Today was a fab day, simply fab, haha. Lulu took her first steps the other day and we finally got some footage...roll it! Haha, haha. Mommy loves her Lulu, you go baby bop, I mean my little walking bean."

Teeny Bikini

Carlos decided he was going to work on our landscaping on Saturday, so Lucy and I decided we'd play in the pool and keep Daddy company. I put Lucy in her new bikini (thanks Beth), we popped up a shade umbrella and laid out Lucy's baby pool right in the front yard! Lucy loved playing and also loved being able to hang out with Daddy outside. I've also learned the best "pool toys" according to Lucy are sticks, a plastic cup and lots of grass. Whatever makes you happy baby.

Here are just a few random pictures of Lucy from yesterday. Miss Autumn sends me pictures of Lucy on my phone and I can't even begin to express how much I LOVE IT! It's so nice to be working and all of a sudden get to see a picture of my sweet girl. Thank you, thank you Autumn. We are so grateful that you love Lucy like you do and take such good care of her!

Fun with Cousins!

Lucy's cousins, Jack and Kaylee, came and played at our house last night and we all had so much fun! We got sno cones, came home and cooked spaghetti, played at the neighborhood park, they helped me bathe Lucy, and we of course played and played and played! Sadly, Aunt Manda is a little sore today from running around and playing chase at the park. Sore enough that I've decided it's time to start working out again. I haven't worked out basically since about a month before I had Lucy (yes that is an entire year people) and it's definitely overdue, but I've promised myself that I'm going to start back tomorrow. Anyways...here are a few pictures from our fun night!

Day at Nanny's

We spent the day at Carlos' Nanny's house in Lawton today and had such a good visit. We played with Nanny's toys, gave her lots of kisses, walked around (with help) everywhere, ate at a big girl table, and went to town on a pickle. Fun, fun!

How big does LuLu look here? She's getting closer and closer to walking and Carlos and I both swear she can do it, but she's just too nervous to do it on her own. I'm thinking it's going to happen sometime in the next month, but we'll see!

Lucy kept biting off huge pieces of the pickle, so I would try and fish them out of her mouth which she definitely didn't want. She has crazy hair in this pic too, but you can see how much it's growing now.

All Better!

This past week and a half has been rough for Lucy Lu. Her ear infections have been pretty painful and she just hasn't completely been herself up until today. She has been in best mood all day so I decided to take a few pictures of our happy girl. She looked like such a big girl sitting on her stool in her room and had fun laughing at Reesie. When I picked her up at baby school this afternoon, she wouldn't quit giving me kisses and giggling- which will make any Momma so happy. We are all thrilled that she's feeling like herself again. We love that magic pink medicine (amoxicillin) ha!

This picture is completely unrelated, but I haven't had a picture of our other baby girl on here for a while. This couch is in our office and is the only piece of furniture that Reesie is allowed on and she takes full advantage of it! Sometimes she gets up in the middle of the night and goes clear across the house just to sleep on it. Such a sweet puppy.

Double Ear Infection

I am actually home today because my sweet baby has a double ear infection. I HATE, HATE, HATE when she's sick! You can see it in her eyes (just like her Daddy) and it just makes me want to cry. Even when she's sick she tries to be such a sweet baby. We've stayed in our PJ's today and played a little bit, but she can only stay up for about an hour before she wants to go back to sleep. She's on some heavy duty antibiotics though, so hopefully she'll be feeling better in the next couple days.

Cooking with Momma

Carlos snapped this picture of Lucy and I the other night. This shows what my life is now like. I can hardly do anything now without Lucy wanting to "help". She especially loves to help me cook. I give her a spatula to chew on and to shake and she sits on my hip while I cook with one hand. I should have pretty muscular arms within the next year, ha! Everything takes a little longer, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Play Dates...Trip and Owen

So lucky Lucy had two fun play dates this week. One was with her future hubbie Trip, who sadly was sick and couldn't come to her birthday party. He and his incredibly sweet Mommy, Allison, came over to play for a bit and gave Lucy the cutest little dress. Lucy is in her PJ's in these pictures and apparently got wound up from her bath because she was being pretty rowdy! But, we all had a good time letting them play together.

Lucy's second date was with Owen. Owen is my friend Stephanie's (Stephanie and I used to work together when I was in college and have know each other for years) little boy and they actually went to Great Wolf Lodge last weekend, so weren't able to make it to Lucy's party either. They got her a new Elmo movie, which Lucy loved and we went to Eskimo Sno/Nancy's Cupcakes here in Norman. Lucy LOVED her snow cone. She would barely let me have a bite because she kept saying Biiii, Biiii, Biiii! Such a fun couple of days!

One Year Appointment

Lucy's one year appointment with Dr. Wilson was on Thursday and she did so well. Here are our big girls stats:

Weight: 25 lbs 2 ounces (95%)

Height: 30 3/4 inches (95%)

Since Carlos and I both had off the rest of the day, we decided to let Lucy go swimming. We put her new pool (from Aunt Crisse, Uncle Jason, Jack and Kaylee) on the back patio so she could stay out of the sun and keep cool. She loved it. They have "water" day at baby school twice a week and she definitely knew what to do in that little pool. She was a splashing machine!

Waiting to be called back and of course had to hold onto my keys. She is obsessed with keys right now. Keys, phones, spoons and her toothbrush.
