Halloween Goodies for School

On Friday, we brought Lucy's Halloween treats for her friends and teachers at school!

 Gogo Momma and Lucy.  My work has a big Halloween party each year and a group of us dressed up as disco/70's/gogo people.  Lucy wasn't quite sure what to think.  She did want to wear my headband and bracelets though.

The groovy guys and gals.  That's actually my boss in the awesome red jumpsuit and blonde afro! So much fun!  We had a mini dance party shortly after this, but I won't be sharing those pics- ha!

 Lucy even played dress up at school that day.  Her teachers sent me this picture and a Snow White picture.  I bet she had a blast.  And, here's what our little boy would look like if we ever had one, ha.

For the past week Lucy always stops at this scarecrow in the hall and asks me to take her picture with it, but I never have my phone.  Well, today and I did and of course she did ask.  She loves this thing.  She will sit there and stare at it forever!

Like Yesterday

Lucy was sitting in the chair in her room the other morning before school and it just made me think of her monthly pictures I used to take of her when she was just a little baby.  It seriously feels like yesterday, my little chunker dunk was barely able to even sit up in that chair.

Pink Eye

Lucy got a nifty present from one of her friends at school last week...lovely pink eye.  But, it made for a nice mid-week day at home with my goose.  We were sad we missed her school wide Halloween party, but hopefully we'll get to go next year.  We made potato soup, baked cookies, did our nails, played and snuggled on the couch watching in our pj's watching cartoons.  She was such a trooper with the not-so-fun eye drops three times a day, but we made it though the wrestling matches!

 Lucy's really into making funny faces right now and this seems to be her favorite.

 I walked into her room later that afternoon and she was "giving" her baby eyedrops and telling her. "hold still, we'll do it real fast baby." Haha....everything we say and do gets watched like a hawk now!

She gave her lots of hugs and kisses when they were done!

OU Homecoming

Last Saturday was OU's Homecoming, so we met up with our sweet friends, Lisa, Jordi and their little boy Gio and Lisa's mom, Mary,  and walked down to campus for the fun.  We went to the parade which Lucy loved, walked around, ate and visited a ton of friends!  Although we ended up losing the game (first home loss in six year...ouch- that one really hurt), we had a great time!

Happy Birthday Dad and Great Uncle James!

Everyone came over to our house on Sunday to celebrate my dad and my great uncle James' birthday's.  Two amazing men, who I love dearly. We ate a big breakfast and had a good time playing and visiting! It was a great day.  Love you so very much dad, hope you had a great birthday!

Can you guess who gave Lucy a bath this night?  Yup, that would be Daddy and you can tell by the giant tub of bubbles.  Lucy loves it and I love hearing them giggle together from down the hall.

Decorating Sugar Cookies

We are doing a "mystery encourager" at work, where someone draws your name and from the first of October thru Christmas your encourager....well, encourages you.  They leave you sweet notes, gifts, etc. and then we have a reveal at our Christmas party.  Just a fun alternative to dirty santa. It's been so much fun and I have the most amazing encourager.  The other day they left me a gift package full of pre-made sugar cookies, complete with icing in several colors and sprinkles with a sweet note saying to enjoy a little weekend fun with Miss Lucy.  Best gift ever.  So after dinner that night, we cleared the table and set up our cookie shop! Lucy loved it and I couldn't quit eating those cookies...they were amazing.  Iced sugar cookies are definitely one of our favorites! Thank you, thank you M.E. if you are reading this! ;)
