Snow Days

A blizzard came through on Monday night and we got around 8 inches of snow with snow drifts that are several feet deep. So needless to say Lucy's school, OU and Chesapeake were all closed for a few days. Even though we've been cooped up in the house for a few days, we've gotten to have some nice family time. I wanted to take Lucy out to play in the snow, but since it's -15, incredibly windy and she's just getting over her double ear infections- we decided that wasn't the best idea. We have had a blast the past couple days and have played with just about every toy and done just about everything I could think of to do with LuLu. Obviously I was a little stir crazy, because I felt the need to take pics of pretty much everything we did. This will be a pretty boring post for most people, but still memories for us.

We had fires going in both living rooms

Our day wouldn't be complete without a little Elmo.

Silly girl jumping in her crib. She loves her bed which makes me so happy!

Time to break out the play-do and Elmo stickers

Daddy made an Elmo face and Lucy kept kissing it although I didn't get a picture of it

Lucy vacuuming away! It takes me somewhere around 20- 30 minutes to vacuum our entire house and I swear Luc will follow me to every room and vacuum right behind me. She's truly my best bud, love you LuLu!

Lucy decided to do a little exercising. The most action the stationary bike has seen in a while.

She played horsy with Reesie

Terrible picture of me without makeup and my glasses, but Lucy looked too cute so I had to put this one on here. She is obsessed with a few food items right now- blueberries, bananas, grapes and tomatoes. So, we decided to make some blueberry muffins special for my baby.

Luc saying "cheese"! Notice me holding her hand. Out of nowhere she's gotten a little skitish about heights, it's pretty cute.

She thought the muffins were hot since they were on the stove and had to blow on them.

Taking some muffins to Daddy. She gets so excited to always take our finished cooking project to her Daddy, so sweet.

Lucy's muffin on a special plate. She thought she was pretty big time.

Carlos got cabin fever and ran out to get us a few movies and came back with heaven itself. Ooooh, how I love that man!

We opened the front door to look at the snow and Reesie was not shy at all!

Giving kisses to Reesie

Poor baby wanted to go play outside. Maybe next time it snows little girl.

We took a few nice warm bubble baths.

And, lastly...we played in warm soapy water in the kitchen sink. I was totally tapped out of ideas, so thanks Erin! Lucy had a blast and played for quite a while.

I attempted to put one of my aprons on here (note: I need to get Lucy a little apron), but this didn't last long before she got water everywhere.

Then, we just stripped down and put towels under her and let her go to town. She loved it!

Hope everyone had a nice few snow days and stayed warm!
