So...Lucy has learned how to bite at baby school! She has been bitten once and has also bitten a few kids. The bites have mostly been for taking her paci which is serious business to Miss Lucy Brooke. I hate that she's biting, but I know it's just a normal stage and one that will pass very soon. We are working with her, but it's kind of hard since she doesn't bite at home. We decided to go get some new books this weekend and happen to find one about biting and one about manners...JACKPOT! They are written by one of Lucy's favorite authors, Karen Katz (thanks for introducing us to her Abbey, love them). Hopefully, these will help. We do love our little biter though, haha!

Wow, there are so many books here!
We had to sit and read a few books while we were there.
These books are precious. I crack up every time I look at the cover of the "No Biting" book!

oh no!!! MO got bit on the FACE the first time any biting happened in her world. apparently, biting on the face means 'i like you'. whatever!! she did start biting her friends at school and we felt TERRIBLE! i always felt that her biting was worse than her getting bit. she WILL get through this stage, Momma!
oh, and just let her wear a nametag that says "stay away from my paci"!!!
There are some adults whose mommy's should've read these books for them (heck, I might need to keep copies to pass out to people!)...you're attcking the issue now, Lucy will be ok :)
