A couple weeks ago we said goodbye to Lucy's paci (except at naps and bedtime). This was done in an attempt to ease the biting at baby school since the other babies were taking her paci from her. Well, it seemed to work for a couple days but then the biting started back up again. So long story short...the paci is back. And, man do I mean it's back. She is HOOKED on this thing way worse than she was the first time. She doesn't want to take a bath without it or really even eat without it being in one of her hands while she eats. I think she's still just afraid we are going to take it from her, so hopefully the addiction will ease up a bit once she realizes she can just have it whenever now. I honestly could care less. If she wants it and it's not causing problems at school then she can have it. The biting issues are almost completely done, which is such a big deal since we went almost three weeks with her biting almost every day. I do have to add that these bites were not without warrant. She was getting pushed out of chairs, laid on and getting her paci taken from her. All the babies in her class are going through some sort or sharing/anger issues. They are all just trying to figure out how to express their emotions and Lucy chose biting. Last week, we saw that she is cutting four molars all at the same time. So, this could have played a big part in her biting as well- not really sure. My poor, poor baby is having such a hard time cutting those molars though. We're back to waking up a few times a night because they are bothering her so much, but she's hanging in there. And, honestly I think she uses her paci almost as a teether as well. Whatever works baby.
Hoarding all of the paci's she could get her hands on.

Well, we all know that these girls won't go to high school with these things, right!? That's what my mom keeps telling me!! I'm sure, one day sooner than later, they'll decide that paci's ARE yucky and honestly smell a little funky...they'll wise up in good time. I sure hope so anyway!!! Ha!
