We got up early on Saturday morning and headed to the zoo for our second trip of the summer. Lucy absolutely loves the zoo and seemed even more into it all this visit. She loved getting out of the stroller and checking things out on her own a bit. I'm thinking we'll definitely have to get zoo passes next summer. We were only able to see about half of the zoo on our first trip because it was so hot. However, it was a cool 90 degrees on this trip so we were able to see everything we missed the first time. We definitely spent the most time in the gorilla area. There were a ton of them and all three of us absolutely loved them. I couldn't believe how many were out, but I think they were enjoying the cooler weather as well.

Carlos and his DooDoo. Notice who's back in our lives...the paci. More to come on that on the next post.

We tried to get Lucy to sit on this baby rhino, but she was too nervous. So giant Momma got to sit on it with her.

Just checking things out.

I love this picture. If she only knew how much he loved her.

Once we got the Great Escape area, we came across these massive gorillas and what was the first thing Lucy did? Stick her finger in it's giant nostril. That's my girl, show him who's boss.

Fully scoping things out.

Our baby gorilla.

I think I was just as excited to see all the gorillas as Lucy was.

Here they all are! I think there were about eight that were actually out that morning.

Lucy kept waving to them, but they wouldn't wave back. I think she also waved to everyone that walked by her stroller that day at the zoo as well. Such a social little thing.

We couldn't go to the zoo and not let her play in the kiddy stream for a little while. Here's our little weight lifter picking up boulders, ha!

So much fun!
