Lucy's New School!

Lucy started a new school this last week that is located across the street from my office at work!  I think we were all a little nervous about this big change in her life, but Lucy has really done so well!  We were so sad to leave her former school, but knew getting to have her right by me at work and also in such an unbelievable facility was really the best choice for Lucy and our family.  We have all been able to carpool together and spend so much more time together as a family, so we are definitely all LOVING that!

I truly cannot say enough good things about her new school.  It is unbelievable, the teachers, amazing classrooms, all eleven play areas, personal chefs, smart boards, ipads, giant safe room...I could go on and on.  Carlos and I feel so fortunate to be able to have Lucy in what we believe is by far the best facility in Oklahoma.  Lucy has transitioned so well and is flourishing in her new school.  I could tell she was a little nervous when we were leaving her that first morning, but she was such a big girl and didn't cry.  I was so proud of her!  The teachers are logging everything on ipads and we are getting notifications on our iphones of exactly what Lucy is doing throughout the day.  When/what she eats, when she potties, when she naps and several pictures and cute little notes from her teachers.  I am in love with her teachers already and can already tell how close Lucy is going to become with them.  It is making being at work so much easier getting to see all these updates throughout the day.  I honestly could go on and on, can you tell we adore her new school!?! ;)

The sweet goodbye note from Lucy's old school.  Lucy has had so many great memories and thank you all for taking such good care of our baby!  We'll miss you all!

Lucy at the open house the week before she started school.  We were able to tour the facility, her room and meet her new teachers.

The coloring station.  I know Goose will be spending A LOT of time here!

You can see the smart board and two toddler computers in the back left corner.

Lucy coloring with her sweet teacher Ms. BreAnn, who Lucy calls Ms. Bre.

We found some of her artwork she made at the painting party last month.  Lucy's in the yellow and green one on the bottom right of the picture.  They have these hanging right outside her classroom, so she was pretty excited!

We got to check out the HUGE safe room that had about 100 different types of tricycles in it.  A kids paradise!  It's a huge safe room in case of tornadoes, but they also use it as a big play room for when the weather is too hot to go outside.  We literally had to bribe Lucy with a piece of candy to get her to leave this place!

The personalized notepads Lucy made for her new teachers, Ms. Nancie, Ms. Hanna and Ms. BreAnne

My big girl on her first day to her new school!  When we pulled up to her school she yelled, "My new school, it's soooo cute!"  She has been cracking us up lately, with saying everything is just so cute!

The precious welcome bear in the front entrance.

Lucy in her new book bag her Aunt Crissie got her for her birthday.  She was just strutting down the hall like she owned this place!

Lucy giving her present to one of her new teachers, Ms. Hanna.

Her classroom!  I loved the mini living room with the flowers and fake flickering candle on the coffee table, cracked me up!

And, I cried over this.  They gave all the parents a little gift bag, with this sweet little note tucked inside that had all the things the note mentioned in the bag for the parents.  The sweetest thing ever!

Carlos and I met for lunch that afternoon and had to stop and get our baby a strawberry cupcake from Sara Sara for being such a big girl on her first day at school.

A few of the pictures and sweet notes from her teachers this week:
Loved the goldfish! Even asked if we could say prayer before, so precious!
We miss Lucy! I bet she is having lots of fun with dad today!

Decided to read when she woke up and it put her right back to sleep!

Lucy really enjoyed the water play today and like seeing the boats float.

 Day Two-
 just getting home from school!

Day Three- reading books in the car on the way to school.

Day Four- posing before heading out the door!  She stayed home with Carlos on Friday since he was off work.  She had such a great first week of school!

I want to go to that school! It looks amazingly cool. That room with all the trikes - how do they ever get the kids to leave? Maybe they bribe them with food (: And iPads? Wow! Looks like you've found a great school and Lucy loves it to boot.

By the way, her romper in that last picture is adorable!

If you don't mind me asking... What's the name of this little school? I live in Norman, but work in Okla. City and I've been looking for a great school, around either area, for my little girl.
