Lovely title right? Crazy how excited you become about poop and pee once you become a parent! I've been meaning to write about Lucy taking an interest in potty training lately. It started about three weeks ago and although we really didn't think she was ready for it, we decided to go with it. Since she's obsessed with Elmo right now we got her a little Elmo insert for the potty and my mom and dad got her a little Elmo Potty Time DVD (which is my favorite Elmo movie so far- it's hilarious) and an Elmo potty coloring book. She's actually gone to the bathroom on the potty three different times. Two of the three times seemed like luck and just the timing of us actually putting her on the potty; however, one time she really seemed to somewhat try and actually went!!! I was shocked.
On Tuesday when I picked her up from school her teacher barely let me get in the door before she yelled out, "Lucy went poo-poo in the potty today"! I about died and think I actually told her teacher to shut up! Haha, oops! I was blown away. I'm still not completely sure that Lucy is really understanding what's going on with all of this, but she's defintely getting there and we couldn't be more proud of our baby!
