Happy 1st Father's Day honey! This post is a little late, but we've been getting ready for Lucy Lu's birthday party so Momma's been a little preoccupied. Sunday morning we got up and Carlos opened his presents from me and Lucy. Lucy made her Daddy and Papa no bake cookies since she can't quite use the oven yet and some new sunglasses. But, sadly they didn't quite set up. I think Momma told her something wrong on the recipe. Oh well, we'll try again soon. After presents, we all got ready to go meet Grammie and Papa for breakfast in Edmond. Lucy had so much fun with her grandparents. Happy Father's Day dad, love you so much!
After breakfast, Carlos, Lucy and I all headed to the zoo. It was so hot, but we had such a good time. I was actually shocked at how much Lucy really did love it. Her absolute favorite animal were the sea lions. She kept saying "Dawww" which means Dog in Lucy language. We couldn't quit laughing. She actually called a lot of the animals "Dawww" and apparently thinks every animal is a dog. We only made it through about a quarter of the zoo, but will definitely be making it back this summer.
I hope you had a great first Father's Day honey. You are the most amazing Daddy to our sweet girl and am so thankful she has a Daddy that loves her as much as you do. I love you.
Lucy loves her spoons right now and did not want to give it up before we left the house for Edmond. She held onto it the whole way there and at the restaurant.
Lucy's presents to her Daddy. Her box of cookies, sunglasses and the card she made. She loves reading the paper with Daddy and tearing it up. So she made him a card with pieces of newspaper and wrote him a sweet note.
Lucy with her Grammie and Papa. Notice the spoon.
Giving Papa bye-bye lovin'
Our family trip to the zoo!
Lucy cooling her piggies off in the little stream. We had to do an outfit change pretty quickly after we got there, because her little thighs were just too bare in that hot sun.
Checking out the pretty birds
She thought this was so funny!
Telling Daddy about it.
Lucy talking to the "Dawww"
She could have stood here forever. She absolutely loved it!
Telling Momma about that "Dawww"
I love this picture with Lucy and her arm around her Daddy, so sweet.
Daddy and LuLu. Happy Fathers Day!
