Christmas- Part One

The Friday night before Christmas we headed to Lawton to spend Christmas with Carlos' Nanny and his dad.  Nanny cooked her rice and pasteles (Puerto Rican banana stuffed meat pastries traditionally served at Christmas time) for us.  Carlos grew up with his Nanny always making her delicious rice, pasteles and fried plantains and I love that she continues to make them for all of us.  It's such an important part of Carlos' heritage as well as Lucy's!

Getting ready to head to Lawton for our first Christmas celebration!

Lucy with her Daddy

Nanny got LuLu the cutest little princess book that plays music while you read.

Lee giving Lucy thank you hugs for his basketball tickets!

Lucy's grandpa got her a little camera that she can really take pictures.  Watch out for my little photography assistant!

Lucy and Nanny counting dimes. For part of Lucy's Nanny's Christmas present, we got her this dime counter.  Nanny collects dimes and just about every time we leave her house, she sends Lucy home with a little baggie full of dimes.  So cute.

Lucy showing her grandpa, Rita (Nanny's best friend and neighbor) and Nanny her Little Mermaid moving that she is OBSESSED with right now!
