OU Homecoming Parade

We went to the OU Homecoming parade today and had a great time! We ended up getting to the parade a little late because someone was a sleepy head and took an extra long nap, but luckily we still got there in time for part of the parade and in time to see several friends. OU ended up beating Iowa State 52-0, Go Sooners!

Just getting to the parade, Lucy was still all kicked back and relaxed from the long walk.

Shortly after we arrived, Megn, who I met through a friends blog came over and asked if this was Lucy and introduced herself. We've actually never met in person, but I was so glad she spotted us and came over to meet us. Her sweet baby girl, Gray, is 5 months and is such a little cutie!

One of the great floats in the parade

We ran into our good friend Jill and ended up going over to their tailgate for a while which was fun!

Lucy telling Jill's mom about her shoes, I'm telling ya'll she is obsessed with shoes! We are going to be in so much trouble. Jill's family is so sweet and her parents will make wonderful grandparents, they just need a baby....hint, hint Jill and Hien! Ha!

We spotted the OU band getting ready to march and had to stop and watch.

Lucy had to waive hi to the band as they marched by, thankfully they were sweet kids and all waived back to her!

We stopped at the big field across from Campus Corner and thought we'd take LuLu's shoes off and let her run and play in the soft grass.

But...that didn't last long, she wanted her pretty little shoes back on. Such a mess!

Just playing around.

We spotted another friend as we were getting ready to leave. Lori and her sweet baby boy Caskey were walking over to meet her husband who was helping with the parade. Caskey actually goes to Lucy's daycare, although they are in different classes since he is quite a few months younger than Lucy. I asked Carlos to take a picture of Lucy trying to touch Caskey, but this is what we got- Caskey's not in the picture but Lucy sure did want him. Ha!

We didn't end up staying for the game, but decided to go to Louie's to eat and watch the game. Lucy was such a good girl all day! Love you baby girl.

I love all of Lucy's cute outfits (and shoes)! You're going to have to tell me where to shop for Elliott.
