My 30th Birthday!

I have had one of the best birthdays I think anyone could have. I came home from work and Carlos had a fun little party planned just for us. He had decorated the house, made an amazing dinner, and he and Lucy even made me a cake in the shape of a 3o! After dinner and dessert they gave me my birthday presents and oh my goodness, I was definitely in tears. There was a sign on the table saying "30 things we love about you". Then there were 30 mini cards scattered on the table and several attached to presents saying what they loved about me. Half of them were from Carlos and the other half were from Lucy. Some were funny and some were so sweet that I could barely read them out loud. Just the sweet notes would have been enough. Cheese moment, but I can't fully express how much I love my husband and my sweet baby girl. I don't know what I did to deserve all that I have!

When I walked into work on Tuesday (my b-day), I stopped in my tracks when I saw what was attached to the front door! Pictures when I was a baby, toddler and teenager (thanks to my mom and Carlos sending the pics to them) and a big happy 30th b-day sign. I walked in and there were the most embarrassing pictures of me everywhere. It was so horrible, but hilarious at the same time. They decorated my office, we all went to lunch and my boss made me iced sugar cookies and a strawberry cake from scratch. I had such a fun day and am so grateful that I work with such great people and truly love what I do.

I stopped on my way in to work and treated myself to a latte and a birthday cake mini donut. So delicious.
