Almost One Pictures

Here are Lucy's most recent pictures. We had to reschedule the shoot due to Lucy having a scab right in the middle of her nose from some pretty bad carpet burn. So...since the photographer we always use was moving this past Saturday (so sad about that one), we did them at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday! Seems early, but honestly for our family it really wasn't so bad. Miss Lucy Brooke wakes up each morning with her Momma around 5:30 a.m., so the timing was actually perfect.

These were taken at the OU Health Science Center in some of their little courtyards and gardens. You would think it wouldn't be very hot that early in the morning, but it was so incredibly humid. My that my hair started to frizz up, my face was getting shiny and I was sweating like a pig from jumping around trying to get Lucy to smile. Poor Carlos was sweating up a storm as well, because he got to carry all of Lucy's outfits, bows, diaper bag and balloons as we walked all around looking for good photo spots. Sorry honey, such a good Daddy- love you! We got a few pictures of her smiling and several of her doing patty cake, but she was just too enthralled by the pretty grass and all her surroundings that she was too busy to pay too much attention to us taking pictures. Since we took the pictures so early, the grass still had the morning dew on it. I felt so bad for having her sit in it, but she didn't mind it one bit and didn't even seem to notice it. In fact, it must have been some pretty tasty grass because Missy Moo would not quit eating it, ha!

I know I posted a ton of these pictures, but hopefully everyone remembers that I'm printing this whole blog out into a hardback book for Lucy each year so that's why I put so many on here. :) I was so happy that we got some good pictures and can't believe my baby girl is going to be one in just a month! Everyone be watching for your b-day invite (Saturday, June 26th at 3:00 p.m.). Makes me teary just thinking about it.

So don't love this picture because unfortunately it shows what I look like when I laugh hard. Lucy kept going "Oooohhh" and putting her head on my shoulder, she was just being so silly the whole time.

It was pretty hot in this enclosed courtyard, but such a pretty background.
