Lucy and I had our first girls night yesterday. Carlos had to go to Florida for a funeral, so Lucy and I had a girls night to celebrate my b-day and it was great. We went shopping and both got new clothes, then got sno cones, and then we rented a girly movie (Bride Wars). We just hung out together all night. I love my new best friend!
Look at the picture below...can you tell what it is? It is my sweet baby girl sleeping in her crib last night! I think I had a harder time with it than she did. For those who don't know, Lucy has been sleeping in our bed for the past seven weeks and is quite the cuddle bug. However, since she goes to daycare in three weeks I decided I had better try and ease her into her crib so when she has to take naps in her crib it won't be so hard on her. Overall she did really well. She would only sleep for about two hours at a time, but she barely cried. I on the other hand couldn't quit staring at the monitor making sure she was okay. I feel like this is the first step to my sweet girl growing up, sniff, sniff.

Getting ready to start the movie
On Sunday Carlos, Lucy and I all headed up to my parents for my b-day. We all visited for a while and had cake and then Carlos and I went and had a late lunch and saw "The Time Traveler's Wife" (which was so good) while my mom and dad watched Lucy. This was our first time to leave her and as weird as it was not to have her with us, it was nice to eat a meal with my hubby and spend some time together. My parents said she did great and took a good long nap, which by the picture above- she needed. :)
